Engaging Social Sciences English Lesson Plans for Primary School Students

Are you looking for English social science lesson plans for young primary school (or elementary school) students? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

In this blog post, I share the social sciences lesson plans I made to teach English to first, second, and third grade primary school (primaria) students in Spain.

As an auxiliar de conversación, I taught English in Spain at a bilingual primary school, which includes pre-k (infantil) to sixth grade. But I only taught English to the first through third grades. So naturally, my lesson plans are intended for those age levels.

Since I taught English in Spain, I created the lesson plans on this page for teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL). But the topics covered aren’t too complex, so I’d say most of these resources should work for teaching English as a second language (TESL), and for teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) in general.

You’ll find the social sciences English lesson plans for primary school students grouped below by topic, which I’ve listed in alphabetical order. I’ve labeled these English lesson plans for social sciences with the grade-level for which I created them. In case you have trouble finding the teaching materials you need, I’ve also listed keywords so that you can search the webpage and be taken to the English lesson plan that fits your needs.

I hope you and your primary school students enjoy these English lesson plans for the social sciences!
